Updated to address navigating mental health in the post-pandemic world, CBC’s virtual CBT 5-Day Comprehensive Training will return in July 2026!
Dates: July 8, 9, 13, 15 and 16, 2026: 9:00am - 5:00pm EST (Virtual)
The coronavirus pandemic has brought on a mental health tsunami. Over the past five years, therapists have seen new and heightened mental health challenges surrounding social isolation, the increased use of technology and disruptions to daily routines. According to the CDC, the percentage of adults with recent symptoms of an anxiety or a depressive disorder increased from 36.4% to 41.5% from August 2020 to February 2021, and the percentage reporting that they recently needed but did not receive mental health counseling or therapy jumped from 9.2% to 11.7%. Another study published in the Lancet journal found that daily COVID-19 infection rates and reductions in human mobility were associated with increased prevalence of major depressive disorder.
To address these issues, CBC is offering a five-day training to help mental health professionals and students deepen and build their cognitive and behavioral therapy (CBT) skills. The workshop, led by Dr. Lata McGinn and other master clinicians, will provide comprehensive training for all experience levels - whether beginner or advanced - in evidence-based techniques and strategies for mental health professionals to meet the increased mental health needs in the community today.
Dates: July 8, 9, 13, 15, 16 2026: 9:00am - 5:00pm EST (Virtual)
