Controller/HR Manager

The Controller/HR manager will be the head of the accounting department and will manage the internal accounting department including the billing, bookkeeping, and financial activities of the company and perform duties as an HR manager. The HR manager/Controller will report to company Co-Founders.

This role will:

  • Prepare and update an annual budget
  • Manage all aspects of accounting; billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and various special analyses.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all accounting entries so as to present accurate financial
  • reports monthly
  • Manage the company’s general ledger and cash flow and advise on any issues/concerns
  • Manage and process payroll
  • Oversee payments of all accounts; ensuring all accounts are paid on time
  • Process accounts and collecting payments
  • Oversee all payments made for debts, bank loans, and other large quantities of money
  • Monitor cash and funding balances
  • Manage the billing process/department, including two billing assistants. Direct patient interaction will be required on billing matters.
  • Manage company benefits and handle day-to-day HR functions—new employee on-boarding, employee benefit enrollment and management, answer employee questions
  • Prepare and organize financial statements for record and review
  • Prepare quarterly/annual financial reports
  • Manage the quarterly/annual budgets and perform financial forecasting and planning
  • Advise on financial analyses and decision-making using key performance indicators
  • Develop effective internal control policies, procedures and workflows as well as benchmark and implement best practices
  • Keep an organized filing system of all accounts, statements, transactions, payments, and debts
  • Maintain documented system of accounting policies and operations
  • Organize information and statements for audits and both internal and external auditors
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting
  • Ensure company complies with all additional legal and regulatory requirements
  • Work directly with client’s banks, CPA, lawyers, vendors, and benefit providers
  • Work with HR and Financial platforms and consultants as required
  • Work with other administrators at CBC.
  • Perform additional controller duties as needed.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ Years’ experience as a Controller
  • 3-5+ years’ experience managing an accounting team
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

Neuropsychologist/Clinician

The Neuropsychological Assessment Service at CBC provides comprehensive neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations, as well as ongoing school consultation and educational guidance.

The Director of the Neuropsychological Assessment service is responsible for providing comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. The majority of patients present with learning differences, attentional vulnerabilities, executive functioning challenges, language disorders, and /or Autism Spectrum Disorders. Additionally, many patients present with co-morbid emotional and social difficulties.

Other responsibilities include supervising trainees at the graduate level, leading didactic seminars, guiding families through the CSE process, consulting with other staff psychologists, providing workshops, and doing outreach when needed.

Additional responsibilities include providing executive functioning training in individual and group contexts with children, adolescents, and young adults.

Finally, applicants with intensive training in CBT and/or DBT have opportunities to conduct CBT and/or DBT and participate on one or both of those teams.

We are seeking a candidate with exceptional assessment and clinical skills in the area of neuropsychological and psychological assessment of children, adolescents, and young adults. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of the NYS public school system, including the CSE process. Experience with the ADOS-2 is a plus. Additionally, the candidate should be a team player, self-starter, and possess strong communication skills.

Qualifications:

Doctoral degree from an APA-accredited program in psychology

Current New York State psychology license

Staff Clinician

Looking for a full-time clinician, who could work in both the east side location in Manhattan and in White Plains. Licensed psychologists and licensed social workers are welcome to apply. CBC is an internationally recognized treatment and training center that provides clinical and wellness services, continuing education for professionals, and custom-designed programs for organizations. CBC offers training, consultation, and supervision as well as a collegial and stimulating environment.

Many professionals on our team also provide supervision as part of the postdoctoral training program, psychology externship training program, and social work internship program, and provide training and consultation to professionals in different settings. CBC offers significant opportunity for continuing education during peer supervision meetings, DBT consultation team meetings, CBT consultation team meetings, and CBT clinical spotlight meetings. We also organize colloquium series where nationally and internationally renowned speakers provide cutting edge lectures on evidence-based treatments.

The ideal candidate has strong training and expertise in DBT with children, adolescents, or adults, as well as a strong foundation in CBT. Experience or interest in DBT is highly desirable. There may be opportunities for co-leading CBT groups or DBT skills groups in addition to providing individual, family, or couples therapy. There also may be opportunities to be involved in our training program at a supervisory level and to offer training and consultation services to professionals in schools, agencies, and other organizations.
