Arianna Carpati is a psychology extern at CBC, where she conducts individual, family, and group therapy with children, adolescents, and adults. She earned her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University, where she is currently a fourth year Psy.D candidate. She previously earned her B.S. in Journalism from Northwestern University.
Arianna has received intensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She also provides therapy as a student clinician at the Parnes Clinic, a community clinic where she delivers CBT to individuals with a variety of presenting concerns including anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorders.
Prior to her clinical externship at CBC, Arianna was an extern at the OCD Center at Zucker Hillside Hospital, where she conducted Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP) for adults with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCPD). Arianna also completed an externship at Brooklyn College where she provided supportive counseling to students struggling with a broad range of presenting concerns, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Arianna’s doctoral research is examining the acceptability and feasibility of a brief, digital intervention for OCD using ERP principles. Her research aims to contribute to literature on interventions that may increase accessibility of care and mitigate barriers such as cost, geographic accessibility, and extensive waitlists. Arianna is a member of the APA and NYC-CBT.
