We celebrate World CBT Day on April 7th. World CBT Day was launched and is sponsored by the World Confederation of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies (WCCBT) to reflect on the importance of cognitive and behavioral therapies to global health. World CBT Day is timed to coincide with World Health Day, launched by the World Health Organization! We are proud that our Co-Founder, Dr. Lata McGinn is president of the WCCBT. The key priorities over the next three years of Dr. McGinn’s presidency are to support the dissemination of CBT in underserved regions of the world such as Africa, to disseminate the WCCBT’s training guidelines globally, and to continue partnering with the World Health Organization (W.H.O) and with governments across the world to disseminate competently delivered CBT.
