Staff Social Worker

Leslie Rondon, L.M.S.W., is a staff social worker at CBC where she conducts individual, family, and group therapy with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Leslie earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University and earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University.

Leslie began her career working for the Maryland Department of Health as a Child and Adolescent Residential DBT Specialist in a residential outpatient treatment facility. While in this position, Leslie worked closely with children and adolescents facing a wide range of acute mental health diagnoses including Borderline Personality Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, and Conduct Disorder. Leslie additionally worked closely with staff to provide formal and informal trainings and consultations on effectively implementing DBT techniques on residential units.

While completing her Master’s degree at Columbia University, Leslie was accepted into the Dialectical Behavior Therapy Intensive Training Program, the first and only DBT training program of its kind offered in a school of social work to date. This program provided Leslie with intensive training in DBT and allowed her the opportunity to implement DBT while interning at Zucker Hillside Hospital’s Adult Outpatient Clinic. At Zucker Hillside Hospital, Leslie lead and co-lead several DBT skills groups and provided individual comprehensive DBT to adults. In addition to providing DBT treatment, Leslie provided individual CBT to adults diagnosed with mood and anxiety disorders.
