Dr. Alec Miller presented the Keynote address at Monroe-Woodbury High School Superintendent Conference Day on November 6th. The title of his 90-minute presentation to over 1,000 staff, teachers and administrators was Preparing our Youth for the Mental Health Challenges of the 21st Century: Mindful Students and Mindful Staff. He was thanked by Superintendent Elsie Rodriguez, pictured above, after the presentation. He also gave a clinical presentation titled: Implementing DBT in Schools.
In addition, four other CBC clinicians presented to schools around the area: 1) Dr. Alycia Dadd – Fairfield School District: DBT Basics and Skills to Special Education Teachers; 2) Dr. Casey O’Brien & Faith Doughty – Eastchester: DBT Validation and Coaching to All Middle/High School Teachers; 3) Dr. Chad Brice – Rockland BOCES: How to use Behaviorism to Hilltop Elementary Staff; 4) Dr. Kelly Graling – Norwalk School District: DBT Basics to All School Psychologists, Social Workers, and Guidance Counselors K-12.
