Ellie Davis is a psychology extern at CBC, providing individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. Ellie is currently a fourth-year school psychology doctoral student at the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology at Rutgers University. She earned her M.S. in School Psychology from Rutgers and holds an M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Teachers College, Columbia University, as well as a B.S. in Secondary Education for English Language Arts from NYU’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.
Ellie has been intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Informed CBT (TF-CBT). Ellie has extensive experience working with individuals presenting with generalized and social anxiety, selective mutism, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, OCD, trauma, depressive and mood disorders, and substance use. Before joining CBC, Ellie worked at Achieve Behavioral Health, where she provided integrated care to children and adults with diverse needs. She also served as a student clinician at the Rutgers Center for Psychological Services, delivering therapy and psychoeducational evaluations for young adults. Her previous externships included a school psychology placement in Jersey City, where she provided trauma-informed therapy to students in elementary and middle school and supported teachers through consultation. Similarly, at Jefferson School in North Arlington, she delivered individual and group counseling to elementary school-age children and psychoeducational assessments to students across all grade levels.
Ellie’s approach to therapy is rooted in a client-centered model that emphasizes collaboration, empathy, and clear communication. She is passionate about helping families build stronger connections and guiding children and adolescents toward greater emotional resilience.
