Psychology Extern

Eliyahu (Eli) Spivack is a psychology extern at CBC, where he provides individual, group, and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. He is a fourth-year doctoral student in the School Psychology program at St. John’s University, where he also earned his M.S. in School Psychology. He completed his B.A. in Psychology at Yeshiva University.


Eli has experience delivering evidence-based assessment and intervention services to youth and young adults presenting with anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, ADHD, and related concerns. He has received intensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Prior to his externship at CBC, Eli provided evidence-based psychotherapy and conducted assessments at the St. John’s Center for Psychological Services for youth and young adults presenting with a wide range of psychopathology. He also served as a school psychology extern at Mineola High School, offering individual and group therapy, conducting evaluations, and consulting with teachers and staff.


Eli is committed to providing goal-oriented, evidence-based treatment with warmth and responsiveness to each person’s background and life context. His doctoral research examines the role of specific beliefs that contribute to anger in individuals with social anxiety.
