Rachel Haddad is a licensed psychologist and Director of Neuropsychological Assessment and Educational Support at CBC. She specializes in neuropsychological and diagnostic assessment of preschoolers, children, adolescents and adults.  Dr. Haddad received her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and her doctorate in clinical psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology of Yeshiva University.  She completed her predoctoral internship at the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine at NYU before obtaining a post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychological assessment and cognitive remediation.  Dr. Haddad has worked in a range of clinical settings; including outpatient clinics, inpatient settings, schools, early childhood agencies, and private group practices.

Dr. Haddad’s expertise includes treating children, adolescents, and young adults affected by learning disorders including dyslexia, nonverbal learning disability, language-based learning challenges, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and executive functioning difficulties, as well as evaluating the interface with anxiety, depression, and other emotional and behavioral differences.  Additionally, Dr. Haddad has experience evaluating and treating individuals affected by complex medical histories, including traumatic brain injury, genetic disorders, and childhood cancers.  Prior to joining CBC, Dr. Haddad evaluated and treated patients at the Hallowell Center, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of individuals with ADHD.

As part of the evaluation process, Dr. Haddad frequently consults with teachers, related service providers, and families to support the implementation of academic and behavioral recommendations.  Additionally, she guides families through the process of obtaining supportive services and applying for academic accommodations including Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and 504 meeting attendance.   

Dr. Haddad also specializes in executive functioning support and coaching, facilitating the development of critically important life skills including organization, time management, planning, problem solving strategies, working memory, and initiation.  She treats patients individually and leads groups and workshops for children and parents.  Dr. Haddad has supervised trainees at the graduate and postdoctoral levels, and is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Albert Einstein School of Medicine.  She is an active member of the Westchester County Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association.
