McGinn, and licensed clinical psychologist Dr. Lauren Bonavitacola, certified Prolonged Exposure consultant and the Director of the Trauma Program at CBC.

Who Is This Workshop For?
This virtual 4-day workshop is for mental health professionals interested in pursuing specialized training to deepen their understanding of CBT approaches for treating trauma and PTSD symptoms, primarily Prolonged Exposure (PE). PE is considered a “gold standard” treatment for PTSD as recommended by the National Center for PTSD, the American Psychological Association (APA), and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS). Participants will receive sixteen (16) Continuing Education Credit Hours for NY Social Workers and all Psychologists and the required hours of training in CBT necessary to apply to become a Certified Diplomate through the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies (A-CBT).
When Is This Virtual Workshop?
This virtual workshop will take place on Monday, October 4th, Tuesday, October 5th, Wednesday, October 13th, and Friday, October 15th.
Daily Schedule: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. (EST) with scheduled breaks.
What Will I Learn In This Workshop?

Following this training, clinicians interested in getting certified in PE will have the opportunity to receive 30-minute case consultations plus a 45-minute case review in PE with Dr. Bonavitacola. Dr. Bonavitacola is a certified Prolonged Exposure consultant and offers a discount to the first five (5) applicants interested in consultation towards certification. PE certification requires the completion of two cases in consultation with a certified PE consultant, including session review. Dr. McGinn and Dr. Bonavitacola have partnered with Dr. Elissa Brown to offer a live web, 3-day TF-CBT training across the age span for evidence-based PTSD treatment.
The training will be held March 8th through March 10th, 2021, 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (EST). Consultation with Dr. Brown is included with this training.
